Newyddion! Take a little look at what we have been up to...
On Friday 25th March we will be hosting our first parental engagement event. Reception parents are invited to our ‘Collective Worship’ celebrating ‘Mothering Sunday’. Please enter the school building via the hall door on the Station Road side of the building and sign in. The performance will begin at 3pm. Dosbarth Derbyn are very much looking forward to sharing their performance with you.
We are delighted to be able to share the news that Mrs Merren Edwards will be returning next week, initially on a part time basis, to teach Year 6 in the final half of the year. We are very much looking forward to welcoming Mrs Edwards back (and I know that Mrs Edwards is very much looking forward to being back with Year 6). Miss Laura Griffiths, who is currently leading the learning in Year 6 will continue to work with Mrs Edwards to teach Year 6.
Can we remind all parents that dogs are NOT permitted on the school site AT ANY TIME
Green cones are placed outside the school to remind drivers to drive slowly past the school.
The area outside the school IS NOT A SAFE PLACE TO PARK.
As hostilities in Ukraine escalate, many parents and children have suggested ways in which we can support families and friends who have lost homes, personal belongings and loved ones. Therefore, as a cluster, we have decided to hold a Ukraine Day whereby the children can come to school dressed in yellow and blue and donate a monetary contribution of choice, which will be sent the British Red Cross. Parentpay will not be used for our Ukraine Day.
Next Friday we will be celebrating Red Nose Day 2022 as we join in with Comic Relief. All learners will be invited to come to school in non-uniform and will have the opportunity to purchase a cake during morning playtime. Please provide your children with a monetary donation of £1 to purchase their chosen cake. Parentpay will not be used for our Bake Sale.
We are delighted to share the plethora of work we undertook to celebrate our Eisteddfod. Please click on the following link to watch our iMovie: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kbyxoTALgBE
Next week parental consultations will be taking place to update parents of progress and celebrate the achievements and talents that your child(ren) has accomplished this year. The consultations will also allow the opportunity to discuss attitudes to learning, wellbeing and your observations.
In addition to this, we are also planning to host parental engagement sessions during the spring and summer term whereby parents can come in, view their children’s work and chat to staff during the afternoon. The first of these events will be held on Friday 25th March at 2:45pm – more details to follow in due course
The PTFA will be holding a uniform sale on Wednesday 9th March.
The times that the sale will be open will be confirmed soon.
