Just a reminder that we will be celebrating World Mental Health Day on Friday 10th October and the theme for 2025, set by the World Foundation of Mental Health, is “Access to Services - Mental Health in Catastrophes and Emergencies". This theme highlights the critical need for people to receive mental health support during crises and emergencies. During the day we aim to raise awareness with a ‘cake and talk’ session, taking time to discuss our feelings and what makes us happy. Children will be invited to wear yellow on this day and purchase a cake for £1.
Last year we were successful in securing a grant for the military children within the Monmouth cluster. The funding was used to allow children to work with Big Foot Arts Education to produce a film called 'Military Me: Born to be Brave'. This project involves children sharing their personal experiences when belonging to a military family. Today, the children shared the outcome of their work to the cluster and wider community welcoming many representatives from SSCE Cymru and Monmouthshire County Council. We were delighted to welcome Mary Ann Brocklesby, Leader of Monmouthshire County Council, Martyn Groucutt, Council Member for Education and Peter Davies, Deputy Leader of the Council. It was a great opportunity to share and celebrate the success of pupils and that their work is being recognised across the county.
Thank you to everyone who supported and attended the Pop-Up Shop and Bingo evening on Friday 28th March. Huge appreciation to everyone who donated to make the evening a HUGE success! We are delighted to share that we raised a grand total of £1070! Keep your eyes peeled for future social gatherings.
On Friday 21st March we will be celebrating Red Nose Day. Your child is invited to wear red clothing to school and sport a crazy hairstyle if they wish. We will also be holding a Cake Bake sale during playtime so the children can enjoy a cake for a monetary donation. Please see the attached poster for more information.
Parents are welcome to attend. We will be supporting the Community Pantry and are therefore asking for donations of:-
Tinned fruit and veg
Tinned rice pudding

We are delighted to share that we will be hosting ‘Meaningful Maths’ workshops for pupils and parents for Plaza 1 families. The sessions will begin at 3pm with parents being shown a variety of approaches to maths, with the children joining their parents at 3:30pm after school finishes.
