Newyddion! Take a little look at what we have been up to...
I have updated the spelling lists for next week and updated the weekly maths bulletin. Head to the Plaza 3 --> Year 6 page on the school website for more information.
This week, I shall test the varying groups on Monday (Sugarloaf), Tuesday (Skirrid) and Wednesday (Blorenge). I test the children by means of dictation, putting the words into context, so please ensure that they understand the meaning of the words they are practising.
I am aware that a small number of children have had issues with Spelling Shed over the last couple of weeks and have reset their passwords. However, if access to this site continues to be an issue, please don't hesitate to let me know via the School Office. Looking at the children's progress and time spent on Spelling Shed, I can see that quite a large number of children have not visited the site in the last week, which is disappointing. Pupils need to be spending ten minutes daily practising their spellings in order for their spelling to improve. I would be most grateful if this could be supported at home.
Many thanks,

On Wednesday next week AiM Academy will be spending the day with Year 6 demonstrating and teaching parkour/free running skills as part of our 'Extreme Sports' mini-topic. This event has been generously funded by Raglan PTA - thank you!
Pupils will need to wear athletic/sports clothing all day. They do not need to wear their school PE kit on this occasion.
Look out for the pics on Twitter!

Due to an unusually busy week, Y6 spellings will roll over to next week - tests and new spellings will be done next week.
Maths over the next couple of weeks will focus on shape and measure: reflection, symmetry, translation and transformation of various 2D shapes; measuring and identifying different angles; calculating missing angles in triangles and quadrilaterals.
Phew!
