  • Year 4 Tuesday Snow Day Activities

Tue 12 Dec 2017 Mr Bowen
Year 4 - I have created a special 'Snow Day ' area within our Plaza 2 page on the school website http://www.raglanciwvcprimary.co.uk/snow-day-activities/
I have set you two challenges.
The first is a set of Maths problems to solve, like those we have been working on for the past few weeks - remember to explain how you worked out the answer!
The second is a challenge to design me a Christmas card using some photographs of my garden and my Christmas tree, using Hwb and J2E.
I hope you are enjoying the snow but please be safe and look after yourselves.
    Mr Bowen
  • School closed today - Tuesday 12th December

Tue 12 Dec 2017 Mr Bowen
We have had to make the difficult decision to close the school today, Tuesday 12th December. This is as a result of extreme temperatures overnight making travel for our staff, children and families extremely dangerous. We also have a significant number of staff who cannot reach the school. We hope to reopen again on Wednesday 13th December. We sincerely apologise for the challenges this may cause to our families, however, we are prioritising the wellbeing of our entire school family with this decision. Please keep checking our website, social media accounts and the Monmouthshire County Council website for further updates.
  • School to reopen tomorrow

Mon 11 Dec 2017 Mr Bowen
It is our intention to open the school to children as usual tomorrow (Tuesday 12th December), however, please check our social media, website and the Monmouthshire County Council website in case of any changes in the morning. All afterschool clubs will be cancelled for tomorrow.
  • School closure due to severe weather conditions

Sun 10 Dec 2017 Mr Bowen
Due to the severe weather and expected freezing temperatures overnight, the school will not be open on Monday to ensure the safety of our children, families and staff. We apologise for the inconvenience, including the disruption to our Nativity play. We intend to reschedule Monday's performance, with further information to follow. We will endeavour to open on Tuesday and will use our website, social media accounts and the Monmouthshire County Council website to keep you informed. We hope that all the members of our community are safe and well.
