Phonics

Phonics is a fundamental part of our teaching in Foundation Phase at Raglan Primary School. Phonics teaches children how to decode letters into their respective sounds, a skill that is essential for them to read unfamiliar words by themselves. On a normal day we would spend 20 minutes in the morning teaching a phonics lesson. I have uploaded the planning that we use from Letters and Sounds. Children would benefit massively if parents could continue these phonic lessons at home.

In addition, due to the current circumstances Phonics Play is allowing all parents to log in from home and have access to all of the resources and games. To benefit from this, please use the link below and use: username: march20 and password:home.
