We are off to St Fagans one week today.  Thank you to all parents who have made payment via Parentpay and returned their Permission Slips.  We still have a number of permission slips that have not been returned and would be grateful if these could be brought in. Permission Slips are required to enable your child to attend this trip.

We are pleased to confirm that we will be holding our Eisteddfod on Wednesday 7th March following its postponement last week due to the snow!

We have just received confirmation that our school site has been cleared. A big thank you to MCC for all their hard work in making our site accessible. We will be open tomorrow.

 

For children who are arrive to school by bus or MCC transport the advice is for parents to contact the operator directly to confirm arrangements for the morning. This is to accommodate any potential need for collection from safe pick up points where normal collection points remain inaccessible to the vehicles. 

 

We will still be holding our world book day celebrations tomorrow. We look forward to seeing the children in their Where's Wally costumes.

Just to give a little update, colleagues from Monmouth County Council will be accessing our school tomorrow to clear the school site and increase opportunities for reopening on Monday. At present we are not able to make this decision until we see how conditions improve.

Happy St David's Day

As the Met office have now upgraded the weather warning for Wales to red, following advice from Monmouth County Council our school will be closed tomorrow. We will celebrate World Book Day on Monday and hold our Eisteddfod on Wednesday. We look forward to seeing the children in their costumes.  Unfortunately our 'Family Digging Event' on Saturday will need to be postponed. Thank you for your continued support. Stay safe and warm.

In light of the current forecast and following further advice, we have taken the difficult decision to close the school all day tomorrow. This is to ensure the safety of all pupils and staff.  We will keep you updated via Twitter, Facebook,  our school website and MCC website with regards to Friday. Stay safe and warm.

We have been notified by Monmouth County Council of the severe disruptions that we are predicted to face tomorrow due to the weather. We have carefully considered the health and safety implications for our pupils and staff and concluded that the school will be closed from 12pm tomorrow. Please make the necessary arrangements to collect your child.  If conditions persist, the school may also be closed on Friday 2nd March. Please check the website in the morning for further updates. 

Due to the potential threat of bad weather please can you regularly check the school website and social media sites for regular updates. In the unfortunate event that the school needs to close, updates will be posted on the school website by 7:30am.
