Purple Party

Please see the information attached about the Purple Party at Monmouth Leisure Centre. The event is aimed at getting more families aware of the benefits of a bilingual education and the importance of the Welsh language from an early age in a fun informal setting.
 
Purple Party
On Monday April 8th Monmouthshire’s Cymraeg i Blant are hosting a Parti Piws/Purple Party at Monmouth Leisure Centre 1.30pm – 2.30pm. The event coincides with Dewin and Doti’s the loveable mascots of Mudiad Meithrin’s 10th birthday. The event is open to children aged 0-3 years, along with their parents, carers, grandparents who are encouraged to wear an item of purple clothing. A wide range of activities including access to the soft play area, baby and toddler rhyme time, crafts plus many more will be on offer at the party.
 
 
Alongside the celebrations, parents and carers will have an opportunity to find out more about Cymraeg i Blant. Cymraeg I Blant or Welsh for kids is managed by Mudiad Meithrin and provides information, support and advice for to promote the advantages of being bilingual from an early age. Cymraeg i Blant offers a wide range of fun activities for children and their families, including baby massage and baby yoga sessions, and story and song groups.
 
 
The event is free for babies under 12 months, children aged 1-3 years cost £3.10 which is the standard cost to use the soft play at the Leisure Centre.
