Year 4 Expanded Column Addition
Sat 23 Sep 2017Next week, Year 4 will be exploring expanded column addition to consolidate and extend our understanding of addition calculations. This is very similar to the traditional column method that we adults were all taught in school, with some subtle differences to help the children understand the place value of the digits in each number; place value is something we have explored this week. We have added a video and a document that explains this method, should you wish to try some at home. The direct link is:
