Digital Leaders

The Digital Leaders have spent time this academic year strengthening and deepening their understanding and awareness of online safety. In our meetings they have discussed how to stay safe online, including analysing and creating safe passwords. The children also created and presented their own Internet Safety whole school assembly. The children shared their understanding of internet safety, using interactive storytelling and a PowerPoint presentation.

On Safer Internet Day, the Digital Leaders visited every class in the school, engaging them in an internet safety quiz, through the use of the Blooket and Kahoot! platforms.

We aim to continue to share the message of how to stay safe online, as well as further developing the use digital technology, devices and tools throughout the school and across all areas of learning.

Digital Leaders - Review Crew Meeting

In our last Digital Leaders meeting, we worked together and became the 'Review Crew'. We had to explore a range of online tools and websites, analysing them to see how useful they are in support us in our learning and developing digital skills. Here are some of our favourites, which we would recommend.

Through HWB:

Adobe Express - We loved using this for being creative. There are so many different things you can create, including videos, infographics and have fun with AI images.

Britannica - This is a useful research tool to find out about almost anything and it has different levels, so you can make it easier or more challenging to read. An added extra is the access to maps, so you can explore the world.

Online:

bbc.co.uk/bitesize  - We loved watching the videos, as they were child friendly and full of useful learning information.

tate.org.uk/kids - We enjoyed exploring the different activities and information about art and artists.

mathsframe.co.uk - Great for rehearsing your maths skills with fun interactive games.
