At Raglan CiW VC Primary School, our Criw Cymraeg plays an important role in promoting and celebrating the Welsh language throughout the school. Comprised of enthusiastic pupils from across all cohorts in the school, the Criw Cymraeg is dedicated to supporting and encouraging the use of Welsh in everyday school life. They lead various activities, including Welsh language games, both in class and on the playground, assemblies, and events, helping to create a vibrant and immersive Welsh-speaking environment for all our students.
Following our achievement of the Bronze Cymraeg Campus award, we are now focusing on the next step of our journey towards the Arian (Silver) Award. The Criw Cymraeg is central to this process, helping to set and achieve targets that will further strengthen our Welsh language provision. Through their work, they help inspire peers and staff alike to use Welsh more confidently, both in and out of the classroom. Together, we are building a strong foundation for Welsh language development, ensuring it thrives across all areas of school life.
